Lalala~

Salam to all.

So update. Update.

Went to PWTC for the Tilawah.
Love it! Especially that qari from Iran! Woohoo!

Met KA and Nenai and Shef. And Aida and Shark too.
Shef, still quiet. Oh, it was her birthday though.
Nenai, obsessed about K-Pop. =.="
KA, erm. Fatter? HAHAHAHAH!
Aida, slimmer, fewwit!
Shark, more radiant!

One-week break.
Went back to Penang. Stayed at home most of the time. Facing this laptop. Getting myself fat. Oh wait, Fatter. Haha. Fall in love with Kala Hati but watched only two episodes.
Spent a whollota time looking for a nicer layout. But end up with this one. I don't actually love it, I just like it. Play Glamour Age like what. Abandoned books. Waha.

Sent Ikha at the KLIA.
All the best ikha! We'll definitely miss ya during raya!
Okay, so I miss you already now. T_T

Loved three new songs. Issues. Fallin' for you. I'm taking back my love (at first I hate this song but after watching the video clip, Enrique was so HOT! ^.^)
Really sweeeeeetttt!

More to the academia.

Physix IDS. Done.
Chem's experimental design. Done.
And everything in between lah.
Don't bother to remember anymore.

Now?
TER 99.
TER 99.
TER 99.
TER 99.
TER 99.

Oh yeah.

Ini kimia tahu?

Salam to all.

What am I doing here at 3.24 am in the morning?
Supposably studying physics.

I love physics.
I love maths.
I love chemistry.
I love biology.
I love english.

I need Dopamine.
I need Norepinephrine.
Why is everybody else getting it?

Boarding the F22 Raptor.

Salam to all.

Today, to put in simple words, jatuh tergolek-golek. Tersembam, terpenyet dan akhirnya terlentang. Sakit seluruh badan. Lebam sini sana. Luka sana sini.

Maths - Sheeesssh, my favourite topic. Studied a lil bit harder than before. Among the rare occasions whereby I managed to answer all questions before invigilators shouted ,"I said PUT YOUR PEN DOWN!"
Result: TERUK GILER WEYH! Bengong! (20/43)

Physix - Let's just say I'm not born an engineer... Glad that I got the gradient thingy correct.. but.. shessh, careless mistake during calculation!!!!! (15/30)

Chemsitry - Again. Among favourite topic. Le Chatelier Principle, equilibrium constant thingy and all those things la. I love chemistry actually and yeah well, I guess I have to date chemistry books more.. (29/55)

Bengong kan?

Later in the evening, I met my friend Awin who'll be flying to Canada soon. Her stories and laughter made me feel much much better and kinda boost my confidence.

Allah has His ways of doing things. He talks to us in ways we didn't expect. I guess, my unexpected meeting with Awin is His way of telling me that He is the one's who has power over all. What we think 100% can happen, might not happen after all. And so is the opposite.

Yesterday, I waved goodbye to Ikha at the airport. Seeing her going down the elevator, with a boarding pass in her hand, I felt really happy for her. Ikha smart ah! Cayalah! *Again, Ikha berjaya kalahkan Ayah Dee!*

Me?

Tolong buka mata dan lihat bahawa langit itu tak serendah yang disangka. Lompat si katak lompat takkan dapat punya gapai si langit tu. Kena guna F-22 Raptor paling tak pun.

Apa itu 'open-minded'?

Salam to all.

Seriously.

Apa itu 'open-minded'?

Saya kurang arif dalam hal ini. Minta tunjuk ajar.

Thank you in advance.

What is it again?

Salam to all.

Today I went to visit my beloved grandparents.. Really really happy because I can see that tok's condition had improved. =) And of course because she cooked me telur masak pedas, sotong masak kicap, bendi goreng and kari istimewa ikan kembung. =DDDDDD

Oh yeah, I just wanna say, Bye bye Newcastle.

Andai ini yang terakhir.

Salam to all.

ANDAI INI RAMADHAN YANG TERAKHIR

Andai kau tahu ini Ramadhan terakhir
tentu siangnya engkau sibuk berzikir
tentu engkau tak akan jemu melagukan syair rindu
mendayu..merayu. ..kepada- NYA Tuhan yang satu

Andai kau tahu ini Ramadhan terakhir
tentu sholatmu kau kerjakan di awal waktu
sholat yang dikerjakan.. .sungguh khusyuk lagi tawadhu'
tubuh dan qalbu...bersatu memperhamba diri
menghadap Rabbul Jalil...
menangisi kecurangan janji
"innasolati wanusuki wamahyaya wamamati lillahirabbil 'alamin"

alunan Al-Quran bakal kau dendang...bakal kau syairkan

Andai kau tahu ini Ramadhan terakhir
tentu malammu engkau sibukkan dengan
bertarawih.. .berqiamullail. ..bertahajjud. ..
mengadu...merintih. ..meminta belas kasih
"sesungguhnya aku tidak layak untuk ke syurga-MUtapi...
aku juga tidak sanggup untuk ke neraka-MU"

Andai kau tahu ini Ramadhan terakhir
tentu dirimu tak akan melupakan mereka yang tersayang
mari kita meriahkan Ramadhan
kita buru...kita cari...
suatu malam idaman yang lebih baik dari seribu bulan

Andai kau tahu ini Ramadhan terakhir
tentu engkau bakal menyediakan batin dan zahir
mempersiap diri...rohani dan jasmani
menanti-nanti jemputan Izrail
di kiri dan kanan ...lorong-lorong redha Ar-Rahman

Duhai Ilahi....
Andai ini Ramadhan terakhir buat kami
jadikanlah ia Ramadhan paling berarti...paling berseri...
menerangi kegelapan hati kami

berusaha...bersedia ...meminta belas-NYA

Thanks to Cikgu Ali for sending this to me through email.

Life is unpredictable.
Death is unpredictable.
I hope this Ramadhan will make me a better devotee, daughter, student, sister, friend, leader, follower and altogether a better person.
I'll try hard not to waste this Ramadhan. Amiin.

Kaulah Lambang Cinta Sejati.

Salam to all.

Everytime I hear this song, I feel like crying.

Siti Khadijah srikandi sejati
Kaulah lambang cinta sejati
Srikandi pertama tika islam bermula
Hatimu menyalakan keyakinan
Hartamu membuktikan pengorbanan

Rasul keseorangan engkaulah teman
Dia tersisih engkau memilihnya
Dia terbuang engkau menyayanginya
Kerana iman kau sanggup berjuang

Siti Khadijah namamu indah
Qudwah hasanah tauladan ummah
Jikalau rasul terpinggir
Engkaulah insan terhampir

Siti Khadijah mujahidah solehah
Agung jasamu dipersada sejarah
Pemergianmu ditangisi nabi
Hingga kini tiada pengganti

Sunyi jalan menuju Allah
Menggamit hati mencari teman
Indah jalan menuju allah
Jika teman seperti Khadijah
Masih ada lagi...

Can I be like her?

Seanggunnya sinar rembulan~

Salam to all.

Today:

JCU interview.
A 20-minute interview. Two panels. At Sheraton Subang.
At first it was quite managable. 'Why do you want to do medicine?' <-- Even though this question is the most common question, but I kinda have to struggle each time I encounter it. And there was a scenario question. I flunked on that also.
And there was a question on H1N1. Sheesh, I screwed this up the most.
Argh! Asyik-asyik screw up je..

Movie-A&W-date with Teh.
GI Joe. Best gilerrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!! You seriously have to watch it! As Teh put it 'Action all the way~' and yeah, memang best lah! It's an action-packed movie but kinda have these sweet sweet moments too~~~~~

Cramped leg during Tkd.
What dyou expect? I haven't been practising since like.. June? And now I have to train hard for the upcoming tournament.. Hopefully this year will be a better year for both Taylors and Metro. Today just 5 people turned up (the usual Charlie's Angels from Taylors and another two guys from Metro). Chen Poh lead today's training and he's kinda thoughtful because he didn't push us that hard.. I hope sir will give me my arm targets soon..
Secretly in love with Flop Poppy's Cinta.

'Photoelectric Effect'

Salam to all.

Haha.. Yesterday, I was so shocked and happy when Nadia told me that I made it to the finals of Premed's Quiz.. And Gennen told me that I was among the highest in the multiple choice part.. =)

Well, being a normal human being, I did act like a jerk after that... (Sorry you guys.. I know I was being a jerk..)

And so just now was the finals and guess what? I got fifth place! And guess what? Out of five people..

At first, I did feel 'tak puas hati' with the whole thing. I was angry with myself for being so stupid and all those stuff..

But then again, after Asar just now, I remembered that I didn't pray to Allah to get the first prize. Instead, I begged him 'Allahumma aHsin 'Aqibatana fil umuri kulliha wa fil imtihan wa ajirna min khizyid dunia wal akhirah'

So, yeap. As always, Allah knows best.. I did try my best in the quiz but I guess it wasn't my day.. Like Ridhwan said, try again next time..

To Ili, sorry ah weyh, aku menang RM 25 je.. Aku ingat nak guna duit tu buat ID baru.. ID aku hilanggggggg... Huhu T.T

To Sarah, Atika, Rahael and Adilah.. Thanks for coming all the way to LT2 to support me.. Sorry it was kinda of an embarassing moment.. Haha..

Maybe you guys are wondering, why the title is 'Photoelectric Effect'?

Well, in one of the questions, they asked about Einstein's discovery that had won him the Nobel Prize in 1921. And that discovery was about the 'Photoelectric Effect'.

That's the only question I got correct when everybody else got wrong.. And when the 'Chief Invigilator' (Nadia) announced that Contestant No. 2 (that's me) got correct, the four of them cheered and that was really sweet.. Haha..

I hope there'll be more of quizzes like this because not only I learn facts and figures but also I learn more about life. And that's the most important thing.

Lately.

Salam to all.

Lately I feel so bengong. Orang cakap angguk je. Malas nak membalas. Lebih senang menerima. Terima je lah. Senang, tak payah pikir. Eishhhhh!!! Mesti aku ni nampak mcm lalang yang hanya ikut angin. Orang pressure sket dah tukar fikiran. BENCI! Kenapa tak boleh lawan? Kenapa tak nak lawan? Kenapa aku biar orang tolak aku sana sini? BENCI. Geram. Geram dengan diri sendiri. Geram dengan certain people. Ye, aku tau, dia pun geram kat aku kot. Obviously. Duh. Whatever la weyh, aku dah nak trial dah. Kenapa aku jadi lemah bila orang tinggikan suara?
Sunyi. Sunyi sekarang. Mana boleh cerita kat daddy, kat mummy. Ni bende remeh temeh je. Nanti kena marah balik kot. Sebab tak focus. Sebab tak ada keberanian. Ye, aku kena berani. Diorang tu pun lebih kurang aku je. Kenapa aku kena rasa low self esteem sangat? Biarlah dia nak fikir apa pasal aku. Daddy pun dah selalu marah sebab i'm thinking too much about what others feel. Yes daddy, you're so right. I wish i could be more like you. I try to be tough daddy, I try to be strong. I try to think like you think. You're right. Buat apa fikir sangat pasal orang. Bukannya we'll see each other forever and ever. Nanti dah ikut laluan masing-masing. I hate myself when this thing happens. I feel so stupid. So weak. So useless. Dah dah. Focus la weyh. Focus. Focus. Nanti tak dapat fly baru nak nangis ke?
Geram. Geram sangat. Bengong terasa otak ni.

Free Hug!

Salam to all.

First things first. The word 'hug' used in this post and all the other posts in this blog refers to 'the type of hug that is within the limits of Islamic laws'. That means no inter-gender hugs between two people who are not related by blood, marriage or 'susuan', okay?

How many times do you hug people in a day?
0?

Okay, so how many times do you hug people in a week?
Still 0?

Hmmm.. If that's the case, you're missing something that makes life, 'life'.

And I would say that I'm currently missing something in my life too. It's nearing a month since I last hug my mom and dad and I couldn't recall when's the last time I hug a person.

I like to see two friends (usually guys will do this) shake hands and then give each other a 'ukhuwwah hug' when they meet. And when a person scores a goal in a game or something and the whole team members will do the 'group hug'.. And when people give 'goodbye hugs' in airports or bus stations.. It's just a simple gesture right?

To me, a simple thing like this really means a lot and I am 100% confident that sometimes, a hug can be a better gift compared to expensive items. Do you agree?
Have you ever felt like giving up on something and you went to a friend to tell him/her your problems? You don't expect her to solve all your problems, do you? But why do you go to her in the first place? And what do you feel after that little chit chat and a really big 'Barney' hug? *Hoho, 'Barney's I Love You' song is playing in my head right now~*

Since my mom and dad are far far away, I bought Romeo, a big brown teddy bear that is nearly as err.. big as my dad (sorry daddy, but it's the truth~) so that I can still get the 'life' of life.
And here's a video about 'Free Hugs Campaign'. It's a good thing (as long as women hug women and men hug men) because as we grow up, we tend to forget how to appreciate others and even ourselves.

Part Khomsah.

Salam to all.

It was a year and three months ago. Madinah will always be the place that I will remember forever. But, well, every meeting will have an end and after spending just two days and two nights in Madinah Al- Munawwarah, we had to leave for Mekah. 15 months is a long time so I hope that you will not expect me to tell the stories in detail, like what I told you in Part Wahid , Part Ithnani , Part Thalathah , and Part Arbaah. (Please take note: The pictures are not in chronological order and not properly grouped.. Sorry~)

My mom and my sis in front of the Masjid Nabawi.

Masjid Nabawi. Alhamdulillah, we got to perform Friday Prayers there. The khutbah was given in Arabic and based on my already rusty Arabic, I think the khutbah was about marriage.. Since I couldn't understand 98% of the khutbah, I let my eyes wonder in an attempt to capture as much memory as possible about this very special Masjid. I did sneak in my camera (I put it in the shoe bag because the 'Askar' didn't check that.. They just look through handbags) and took two pictures of the Masjid's interior.

This is the lobby of our hotel.

The streets in Madinah.

Bir Ali, the place where we officially pronounced our intentions to perform Umrah. Bir Ali has a beautiful garden and yeah, the place is so full of people.

The place where they print Al-Quran. Women are not allowed to enter the factory and so we went straight into the Quran Store. Ayah Mie, my dad and Naim followed the Quran Printing tour and at the end of the tour, each of them got a free Quran Tafsir. (Tak aci betul~)

Masjid Qiblatain. Due to time constraint, we just can see it from our tour bus. I really wanted to see how a masjid can have two qiblats, but then again, I think of it as just another reason to come here again.

Masjid Qiblatain, from a different angle.

I didn't expect to see waterfall in this hot place, haha.

If I'm not mistaken, this is Masjid Firdaus.

Somewhere near Jabal Uhud.

This is not Jabal Uhud. As far as I can remember, our tour guide told us that the building at the top of the hill is the King's palace. And take note of the hillls. They are solid rocks with no trees unlike the hills in Malaysia.. Their hills are of hard stone inside and out, a big difference from ours which mostly made up of soil. And during the tour, the Ustaz said that it kinda reflects the heart of the Arabs. Allah had placed the Ustaz of all Ustaz, Rasulullah PBUH in the land of the Arabs, because Allah knows they will physically go against Islam. But what the people of Tanah Melayu (Melaka) got was only the Arab Muslim merchants.. You get what I mean?

Inside the Quran store. You can find Tafsir Al-Quran in a lot of languages, Al-Quran printed in various sizes and Al-Quran in special boxes.

This is the biggest one that I could find. This one is like the one we have in Raudhatul Muttaqien, where during Ramadhan, the Imam (Ustaz and students alike) would read from it during prayers. Oh, I miss you Ramadhan and Langkawi!

Picture taken when our family wanted to place an order. Mama Shima bought the biggest Quran and I bought the Quran Tafsir in Bahasa Indonesia. No Bahasa Malaysia version was available..

When I first saw this, I instantly thought of Giant back home. Hmmm...

Their highways.. Again, see the rocky hills~

This is somewhere near the Jabal Uhud. It was really hot back then..

Makam Shuhada' near Jabal Uhud. Lets flip through the pages of history, shall we? The Battle of Uhud is the second battle in Islam, after the Battle of Badr. In this battle, 70 Muslim warriors were notoriously killed and Saidina Hamzah Asadullah was one of them. We can learn two main things from this battle. First, never disobey your leader, especially Rasulullah. Before the battle, Rasulullah warned the archers based at the top of the Jabal Uhud not to leave their post until he said so. As the battle took place, it seemed to the archers that Muslims had won the battle and so they ran down the hill to collect the ghanimah (harta rampasan perang). But, the enemy (lead by Khalid Al-Walid before he embrace Islam) re-attacked and at last the Muslims lost. More details available here. Second, do not let worldly matters blind us.

I took a moment to picture how the battle and other battles took place in this setting. I couldn't describe the images I have in my mind. May Allah bless all the Shuhada'. Amiin. Al-Fatihah.

InsyaAllah, I will tell you about Umrah and Mekah later.
