A Journey Beyond The Logical Mind

Salam to all.


... is too short to take it so lightly,
... is too long to take it so seriously,
... is too sweet to let grudge grow,
... is too bitter to let laugh flow,
... should be treated with respect,
... should then be given its rights.


Life has the right to be lived,
To the person's fullest capability,
To reach the person's goal and desire,
To grasp what's seen, To catch what's heard,
But hold it, yup, hold on,
For this is a reminder,
To those with Heart and Ear,
Do we not remember our Promise?
When the Lord asked,
Am I not your Lord? (7:172)


To that person I see in the mirror, I ask,
Would shadow be worth to catch?
Try it, you'll never get it,

Peter Pan's shadow? That's an exception.

Chase it, you'll never beat it,
Forget it, just leave it,
Stand tall, face the sun,
Walk straight, feel the heat,
And see what becomes of the shadow we keep.
Indeed, life and shadow, are two different words,
But can't we all see,
How similar they be?


Life has the right to be lived,
To the person's full capability,

Forever?

To reach the person's goal and desire,
The question remains,
Where's the goal, What's the desire,
Would it all be worth, if the end is Hellfire?


Nauzubillah, no, we don't want it,
It's just logically not worth it,
Life is too short to take it so lightly,
So take a step now, and live it fully!
Full in what sense, you should know by now,
Fools you are not, and neither are Syaiton,
Keep the end in mind,
Keep the Jannah in mind,
Keep the forever-ness in mind, a happy forever? A painful forever?
C'mon now be strong!
His promise awaits!

I'm starting with the man in the mirror!

That is what worth living for. 


May this serve as a reminder,
To the person I see in the mirror,
Poet, I am not, Poetry not my core,
But I write, I just write,
Of what I think is right,
May Allah ease our daily struggle,
May Allah protect us from danger of the 'living jungle'.

It's a jungle out there.
